n the mud entry hall. Here, random pieces of faded red barnwood with battens are used. In some places, stain has been added to help bring out a more rustic appearance.

Hand hewn beams accent our ceiling. The beams were power washed and palm sanded to smooth out any grain that was raised while they were being washed. You'll see the original mortises or notches throughout the beams. To help maintain their authentic look, our beams were left natural, without oil or stain. The ceiling bands for the beams are antique barnwood, with custom cut barnwood 1/4" molding to accent the edges. For a country feel, we used barn pegs as accents for coat, umbrella or mitten hangers.The doors are custom made in different styles from barnwood. The reproduction hinges add the authentic touch. The covers for heating ducts, outlets and switches are also custom made from Conklin's barnwood and add the perfect finishing touch to our hallway.
